Supply chain management is the process which syncs the flow of products as well as associated details from the production of low level suppliers to the end users and it results in provision of demand changes and synchronization of processes along with other organizations in supply management.

Supply chain management is defined as a chain of processes to help in business activities from buying raw materials for making products to finished goods to provide to the end user.  There are different techniques of cost reduction that are offered to reduce cost ranging from strict supervision, manpower reduction, overtime work etc. But reducing cost with compromising quality is a waste of money.

Hence, supply chain management is meant to reduce cost without compromising quality. The strategy of supply chain management is to cut cost by avoiding all the non important activities in the flow of products. The objective of this system is to improve the benefits of channel. It is meant to accomplish this aim by creating the customer values over the competitor’s value in order to improve the customer satisfaction, either by improving efficiency or effectiveness.
